The Anjuman Islamia Balaghat

The Anjuman Islamia Balaghat was registered on 1 September 1943 under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860, with Registration No. 21. For over eight decades the Anjuman has served as the custodian of the community's religious and charitable institutions in Balaghat.

Our responsibilities include the care and administration of the Jama Masjid and other mosques, the Anjuman Urdu School, the community Marriage Hall (Shadi Hall), several madrasas, and the Muslim graveyards (kabristan) of the city. The Anjuman also manages the Waqf properties, shops and agricultural land that sustain these institutions.

The Anjuman is funded by the voluntary monthly contributions (chanda) of community members, by rent from trust properties, and by the generous donations of well-wishers. Every rupee is used for the upkeep of the community's institutions and for welfare work.
